At present, I am co-authoring a book titled When the Saints Came Marching In: A History of the Mormons in St. Louis, 1831-2008. I am also co-authoring a work titled, Gathering to Laie which captures the story of the Latter-day Saint Hawaiian gathering place on the island of Oahu. In addition, I have spent the past dozen years researching the topic of Mormon Migration globally by sail, rail and trail and continue to be heavily immersed in this captivating topic. Finally, I am involved with interfaith research such as religious freedom and multi-faith collaboration. For example, for several years I have been lecturing at many universities and institutions on the story of interfaith cooperation at a leprosy settlement (Kalaupapa) on the Hawaiian island of Molokai. Some of my research will be published in 2008 as well as a forth-coming 60 minute documentary to tell this inspiring story. In 2008, I also plan to give academic presentations in a variety of places, including Iceland, the United Kingdom, Ukraine and Australia
